Business Phone

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 5, 2026

Business Phone ("Business Phone," "we," "our," or "us") provides this Privacy Policy to explain how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use the Business Phone iOS application and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Information We Collect

We collect information needed to provide a second phone number, calling, messaging, subscription access, support, account security, and app functionality.

Account and App Information

When you use the Service, we may collect or create:

  • A user account identifier, including an anonymous Firebase user ID.
  • Your assigned or reserved Business Phone numbers.
  • Subscription status, plan, entitlement, renewal, and purchase-related status information.
  • App settings, blocked numbers, selected number preferences, and similar account configuration.
  • Device and app information such as device type, operating system version, app version, push notification token, IP address, language, and diagnostic logs.

Calling Information

To provide inbound and outbound calling, we may process:

  • Phone numbers you call or receive calls from.
  • Call direction, call time, call duration, call status, missed-call status, and related call records.
  • SIP, VoIP push, and CallKit-related identifiers needed to connect and route calls.
  • Information needed by our communications providers to provision, route, troubleshoot, and secure voice service.

Business Phone is not a replacement for your mobile carrier or emergency services. Emergency calling limitations may apply, and any emergency call handling may depend on your device, network, carrier, Apple services, and third-party communication providers.

Messaging Information

To provide SMS and MMS features, we may process:

  • Phone numbers you message or receive messages from.
  • Message content, media attachments, timestamps, delivery status, conversation records, and related metadata.
  • Client message identifiers and media URLs used to send, receive, store, and display messages.

Message and media content may be stored for as long as needed to provide your conversation history, comply with legal obligations, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, and operate the Service.

Contacts

If you grant permission, the app may access contacts on your device so you can select recipients, search by name or number, and identify callers or message participants. Contact access is optional and controlled through iOS permissions. We use contact information to provide contact-based app features and do not use your address book for advertising.

Photos, Files, and Media

If you choose to send MMS media or upload documents through supported features, we may process the selected photos, files, document names, file metadata, and uploaded media URLs. We only access media or files that you select or permit through iOS.

Payments and Subscriptions

Purchases are processed through Apple and managed with RevenueCat. We do not receive your full credit card number or Apple account password. We may receive purchase metadata such as product identifier, entitlement status, renewal status, expiration date, transaction environment, and RevenueCat app user ID so we can activate, verify, and manage subscription access.

Support Communications

If you contact us for support, we may collect your email address, the content of your message, troubleshooting details, account identifiers, and any information you choose to provide.

Cookies and Website Data

Our website may use cookies, log files, and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, analyze traffic, prevent abuse, and improve the website. You can adjust cookie settings through your browser. Some website features may not work correctly if cookies are disabled.

Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, enforce agreements, and operate reliable communication records. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, legal requirements, provider requirements, and whether the information is needed for security, fraud prevention, billing, tax, audit, or dispute purposes.

When you delete your account through the app, we attempt to delete your Firebase account data and release associated Telnyx resources, including assigned phone numbers and SIP-related resources. Some information may remain for a limited period in backups, provider logs, transaction records, security records, or where retention is required or permitted by law.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

You can:

  • Manage contacts, photos, files, microphone, camera, and notification permissions in iOS settings.
  • Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings.
  • Delete your account in the app where available.
  • Contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or support with privacy questions.

We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.
